Specific Objectives:
- Students will be able to generalize the rules.
- Students will be able to change active sentences into passive sentences.
Instructional Materials: Sentence Cards, Rule Cards
Teaching Learning Activities:
a.Presentation of Examples: First, the teacher presents the examples of 'passive voice' before the students and asks them to observe the examples very carefully. e.g

b.Analysis of the examples: After presentation of examples, students are asked to analyze the examples through group discussion. the teacher encourages the students to focus on:
- correctness of tense.
- forms of 'be' verb according to tense.
- change of verbs into past participle.
c.Generalization/ Rule formation: After analyzing the examples, the students try to make generalization. Students draw their own conclusion form the examples and formulate rules.

The students then generalize the rules:

d.Verification of Rules: Now, the teacher and the students verify the rules they have induced. Then, the students apply the rules in practice.
e.Homework: The teacher gives homework from the text book.
