Lesson Topic: A Debate

Teaching Item: Reading

1.Specific Objectives: The students will be able to:

• read the text thoroughly.

• role play being the character.

2.Instructional Materials: Text book

3.Teaching Learning Activities:

The teacher motivates the students through brainstorming on the topic "Good and bad effects of over using mobile phone". The teacher jots down the ideas given by the students.

Then, the teacher asks the students to open the text book and also asks them to read the text. When they are reading, the teacher observes and helps if they need.

After that, the teacher selects four students as a role model and assigns them a task to role play the characters.

These four students play the role of different character as assigned by the teacher while other students observe their role play. 

4.Evaluation: The teacher calls next four students and asks them to read the text being different characters.

5.Homework: Asks the students to compose a debate on "A pen is mightier than a sward"
