  1. Deforestation

Deforestation is a burning problem of our country. Deforestation means action of clearing or destroying the jungle. People destroy the jungle for various purposes. We collect firewood, timber grass, herbs from the jungle and we cut the jungle for cultivation and settlement. It invites terrifying disasters. There is landslides, floods, drought, loss of wild life and ozone layer depletion are the main affects of deforestation.

Population size and rates of its growth are the key elements of deforestation. The huge number increase in population automatically makes people clear the jungle for cultivation and settlement. The growth population needs extra food, furniture and land. Extra land is needed to product extra food and housing. People clear the jungle for that purpose. People collect firewood and timber to earn money. They cut down trees and earn money selling firewood and timber in the market. We get many herbs in the jungle which are very useful for medicine. We get raw materials for different industries. Medicine, industry, copy factory, sendles factories etc. get raw materials directly from the jungle.

If the family sizes are not checked and controlled, people gradually become poorer and poorer. They demand to enter in the jungle to live on. This growth of population is the main cause of effecting deforestation or environmental change. This long term problem has to be controlled. The community should be made conscious. The ecological and environmental knowledge should be given to : the villagers.
