- Reforestation
Reforestation is re-planting of trees and preservation of forest. It is very important factor for Nepal. Green forest is the wealth of Nepal. Harivo Ban Nepal Ko Dhan is the Nepali slogan. But our jungle is being destroyed very fastly because of various activities of the people. Reforestation is the process of planting trees and converting the open lands into forest. It is also called forestation.
We can get many advantages from the jungle directly and indirectly. Trees help to make the air pure or fresh and brings rain. We get fire wood, timber, grass and medicinal plants from the jungle. The wild life can be preserved in the jungle. We get fertilizer from the jungle. Reforestation certainly reduces the natural disasters like landslides, soil erosion, drought. Our future generation will also get the chances to watch wild animals, birds and many herbs and other plants if we preserve the jungle.
Nepal has some difficulties to prevent the jungle. There is no certain rules to enter in the jungle for collecting timber firewood and herbs. The pouchers kill wild animals with out permission of the government. Killing animals and cutting jungle indiscriminately should be hand over to the local community. Education should be given to the villagers. The smuggling of the timber should be stopped and the smuggler should be penalized. The best user of the forest should be awarded and encouraged them to keep it up. There should be the system of cheek and balance. Every member of the community has equal duties. Otherwise we will have finished all the raw materials by the end of next decade.
Future generation will only get the story of our natural resources. They will get no chances to watch wild animals. birds, herbs and plants in their whole life. Thus we must preserve the forest which helps to increase the number of wild life.
